COVID-19 hit hard across many industries. One of the most affected was live events, especially music. You can’t pack 20,000 people into a music venue or 50,000 people into an arena during a pandemic. HARMAN Professional Solutions, a subsidiary of Samsung, sells lighting and audio equipment to companies who stage live entertainment events. To soften the COVID-19 blow, HARMAN employed out-of-work live entertainment professionals and paid them to share their expertise and then make those webinars free to other professionals looking to enhance their skills while stages are dark. Born was HARMAN Learning Sessions. Some of the presenters worked with such names as Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, and John Legend. The one-hundred live webinars drew more than 30,000 participants and led to thousands of future leads for HARMAN.

Title of Entry: “How Juul Created a Teen Vaping Epidemic”
Category: Digital Media | Writing (Web) | 283. Other — feature article

A few years ago, teen vaping became an epidemic, and it wasn’t by accident. The industry took cues from Big Tobacco’s marketing playbook and inserted the habit into the fabric of American society. Marketing went far beyond adult demographics. In an investigative report, Drugwatch scoured company documents and alleges that Juul targeted kids as young as 8. Drugwatch is a national organization whose mission is to keep people safe from potentially harmful drugs and medical devices. The damning article says that Juul paid schools to allow their reps access to students. The article is well researched, well written, and very alarming.

The agency, with offices in North Carolina, New York, and Texas, weaves the card into a lifelong narrative that begins with a road trip among friends. Courtship, marriage, and births eventually lead to an empty nest and a return to the road. It’s a heartwarming adventure, aided and nurtured by BB&T (now Truist).

Since when is school fun? The short answer to that is when you attend Madeira. Madeira is an all-girls private boarding school in McLean, Virginia. With three-hundred students from thirty-two countries, the high school’s mission is to launch women who change the world. The school created a recruitment video to attract new students, but it’s much more than a video. The Madeira story is told by the students in a very clever and visually masterful way. If you were a parent searching for this type of school for your daughter, you would be signing on the dotted line by the end of the story.
