Social media campaigns usually don’t start with chalk and a sidewalk, but that’s exactly what happened in New York. In an effort to raise awareness and to feed the hungry of New York City, Crossroads Community Services took to the streets…literally.
The campaign, created by Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness, used guerrilla art to put a face on hunger in the neighborhoods where the the problem loomed the largest. The chalk art spread across social media platforms and around the world, spawning similar campaigns in other major cities.
