We’ll continue to feature some of this year’s most noteworthy Hermes Creative Awards entries throughout the competition.
Organization: RabCup Location: Houston, Texas Title of Entry: “Weiss Energy Hall – Energy City” Category: 200c. New Category – Other — Project Mapping |
Houston is known as the “Energy City,” and for good reason. More than half of Houston’s jobs are connected to energy, employing more people in the industry than anywhere else in the world.
Recently, the Weiss Energy Hall wanted to celebrate Houston’s status with a 3D exhibit. The 2,500 square feet exhibit not only replicates the city, but it brings the city to life using “bleeding edge projection mapping technology,” a system utilizing trillions of pixels, and miles of fiber-optic cable. Developed over two years by RabCup, a full-service production company hired by Paul Bernhard Exhibit Design and Consulting, this stunning display is a tour de force of technology and design.
