If you’ve ever been involved with the Addy Awards, you know someone gets tasked with creating the promotion and themed materials each year. It’s no small task and proves to be a big challenge to do something new, but it is also a great opportunity to showcase your creativity, which z2 has done expertly. As long-time Addy participants and supporters, this video knocked our socks off.

We had to know more — so we asked. It turns out z2 put out an all-call audition out via Facebook for kids age 10-14. They ended up with 26 kids (and one dog) who volunteered for the project – no paid actors. But they did throw them a pizza party for everyone.

This particular video was the intro to the ADDY Awards ceremony. They also filmed 3 vignettes/breakers for the ceremony during the same shoot which you can view in the embed below.

z2 filmed the entire video on a RED Dragon, DJI Mavic Drone in one 12-hour day at three sets/locations, including an old dead-end road. They purchased two old soapbox cars and repainted them to fit the story. And sourced a bunch of retro cars, clothing, and props to make the film feel like it was in the 70’s ala “The Bad News Bears” or “The Sandlot” — two amazing films if you ask us.

All in all, z2 Marketing is a standout submission and we’re so pleased to have creative experts like them involved in our competitions.
